Why spend so much on a wedding?

There's a trend these days for couples to move in together, buy a house, have kids - and THEN get married. They say they "don't have enough money to get married" and they are "saving up" for "the wedding of our dreams.

A man came into the Sentinel this week; he'd been cleaning out some stuff and found an old newspaper from December 1987 - with "By JODELLE GREINER" on the front page.

Heard while listening to the radio, I think it was 107.7 FM.

"Usually if I have a Blizzard in May, it's from the Dairy Queen."

May 1 is about short sleeves, planning flower beds or planting them, and temps in the 60's or low 70's.

It's not about winter coats, all-day snow, and temps barely above freezing in the 30's.

I was reading a yahoo.com article about some blogger who's getting lambasted for saying a professional cheerleader was too fat for her uniform. What was interesting to me was one of the comments.
