TRIMONT - A Celebration of Life service for Ruth V. Russenberger, 95, of Trimont, will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 1, 2014, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Trimont, Minn., with Rev. John Meyer, officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Lutheran Cemetery, rural Trimont, Minn.

Ruth was called to her eternal rest on Friday morning, June 27, 2014, at the Trimont Health Care Center in Trimont, Minn. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Tuesday at the church. Messages of sympathy may be sent to the family online at www.kramerfuneralhome.com

Ruth Violet Christina Carlson was born Feb. 12, 1919, on the family farm in rural Monterey, Minn., to Alfred and Alida (Selberger) Carlson. She attended country school at District 102 of Cedar Township. Ruth was united in marriage to Benard (Ben) Russenberger in February of 1937, and they farmed for 35 years in Cedar Township, Monterey, Minn. During that time, Ruth and Ben had three children. In 1970, they moved to Trimont, Minn. where Ruth was employed at the Trimont Hospital for 20 years.

Ruth is survived by her son, Bernie (Barb) Russenberger; four grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.

Ruth was preceded in death by her husband; infant son, Duane; daughter, Janyce; daughter-in-law, Doris Russenberger; grandchildren, Susan Russenberger Kotz, Diane Russenberger Custer, and Barry Russenberger; two sisters, Dorothy Johnson and Helen Peterson; and six brothers, Elmer, Roland, Harold, Rudolph, Glen, and Theodore; and other relatives.
