Roger P. ‘Ogie’ Ogilvie

BLUE EARTH - Funeral services for Roger P. "Ogie" Ogilvie, 83, of Blue Earth, will be 11 a.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church in Blue Earth. Burial will be in Pilot Grove Township Cemetery, Blue Earth.

Ogilvie died Sunday, May 4, 2014, at St. Luke's Lutheran Care Center, in Blue Earth. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at Patton Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 400 E. 14th St., in Blue Earth and one hour prior to services Thursday at the church.

Roger P. Ogilvie was born March 4, 1931, in Blue Earth, the son of Paul and Evelyn (Pitcher) Ogilvie. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict and was discharged from the Navy in 1955.

Survivors include: his son, David Ogilvie of southern Minn.; daughters, Carmen Coxworth of Blue Earth, Kim Frey of Hastings, and Karen Miller of Blue Earth; son-in-law, Joe Olivo of Blooming Prairie; 19 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and sister, Janice Wall of DuPree, S.D.
