COLUMBIA HEIGHTS, Minn. (AP) — Police are searching for a 16-year-old boy suspect of shooting and wounding his 19-year-old brother in their Columbia Heights home.

Anoka County authorities say the brothers' mother called from the family's duplex around 3:30 p.m. Monday and reported that her son had just shot his older brother.

The victim had non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center.

The St. Paul Pioneer Press (http://bit.ly/1kLdfjL ) reports the 16-year-old brother remains at large and is possibly armed.

Investigators do not yet know how the teen acquired the gun.

The names of the brothers were not immediately released.
