To the Editor:
I just want to thank an elderly gentlemen who stopped today to pull me out of a snowbank on Tilden Street in Fairmont. He didn't have to stop but he did.
I had tried everything, from shoveling to putting cat litter under the tires, and my car wasn't budging.
This kind gentleman even got on the snowy ground to hook up his truck to my vehicle. I offered him some cash for helping me and he said, "Nope, I've been stranded before and know what it feels like." So, instead, I gave him a huge neighborly hug and thanked him for being such a kind man.
We need more people like this in the world for sure. Thank you to whomever you were. You were a godsend.
