To the Editor:
A few years ago, a group of people from our church and the community decided to find a way to be a blessing to others. Because of our faith and love for Christ, it was decided to offer a free community Christmas dinner for those who, for a variety of reasons, didn't have plans.
We've been privileged to serve hundreds of folks and have received lots of help and resources from area and community volunteers.
We are again offering a free Christmas dinner to anyone who would join us for a traditional dinner of turkey, ham and trimmings. We will begin serving at noon in our fellowship hall.
Rides are available if you call our church office at (507) 238-1939.
We can even deliver a takeout meal for the shut-in who is sick or unable to use our transportation. Just call us with your request.
Also, if you are coming with a larger group, a call ahead of time is appreciated.
May the love of Christ and the joy of this season be experienced by all.
