WELCOME - A Celebration of Life service for Alyce J. Schultz, 92, of Welcome, Minn., will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 10, 2013, at St. Paul's United Church of Christ Church in Welcome, Minn. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery, Fairmont, Minn.
Alyce was called to her eternal rest on Sunday afternoon, Nov. 3, 2013, at Mayo Clinic Health System in Fairmont, Minn.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. today at Kramer Family Funeral Home, Welcome, and one hour prior to the service Thursday at the church.

Alyce Josephine Dorothy, the daughter of Frank and Josephine (Shaw) Dorothy, was born April 14, 1921, in Nashville Township near Granada, Minn. She attended rural school in District #19 in Nashville Township. On Feb. 8, 1938, she was united in marriage to Henry F. Schultz in Fairmont, Minn. After their marriage, they lived in rural Fairmont, where Alyce was employed at Gunther's Grocery Store in Fairmont, sold Avon and baked cakes for weddings and family events. Henry died Oct. 28, 2008. She continued living in rural Fairmont until moving into Welcome. She was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Welcome, where she served on many church projects, served on the funeral committee and was guild president for three terms. She greatly enjoyed fishing, painting pictures, gardening and working with her flowers and loved music and dancing.
She is survived by her three sons, Darrell Schultz and special friend, Charlotte of New Hope, Minn., Roger (Linda) Schultz of Welcome, Minn., and David (Janet) Schultz of Forest Lake, Minn.; daughter, Darla Meeker of Fairmont, Minn.; nine grandchildren, Kim (Mike) Voigt of Minneapolis, Todd Schultz of Minneapolis, Troy Meeker of Fairmont, Tina Benck of Belle Plain, Dawn (Dan) Kastner of Fairmont, Jeff (Dawn) Schultz of Welcome, Bridget Gramith of Georgia, Travis Schultz of Minneapolis, and Sara (Tom) LaBelle of Minneapolis; 24 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Alyce is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Henry Schultz; infant daughter; son-in-law; daughter-in-law; infant grandson; great-grandson; and other relatives.
