SHERBURN - Martin County West quarterback Jake Faber did not throw an incomplete pass, completing 13 of 13 passes for 190 yards as the Mavericks eased by the Springfield Tigers 41-14 in Southern Minnesota Conference football action on Friday in Sherburn.
Faber scored on a pair of rushing touchdowns from 8 and 5 yards, as well as finding Cordell Weber for a pair of scores through the air.
"Our line played a great game again for us today," said Martin County West head coach T.J. Schmidtke. "They gave Jake all the time he needed against a tough defense and were great."
Weber caught passes from Faber for TDs of 40 and 26 yards.
Thor Larson led the Mavericks on the ground with 107 yards rushing and two touchdowns, while making nine tackles on defense.
Alex Saxen led the Mav defense with 11 tackles, while Hunter Olson made eight stops and recovered a fumble and Sam Baker contributed a fumble recovery and four tackles.
Martin County West (6-1) hosts Red Rock Central in a conference game at 7 p.m. on Wednesday in Sherburn.
Springfield (3-4) hosts New Ulm Cathedral at 7 p.m. Wednesday.

South O'Brien 28, North Union 10 - The Wolverines scored 18 unanswered points in the second half to down the Warriors 28-10 on Friday in Armstrong.
Aric Runge completed 10 of 22 passing attempts for 117 yards, including a 14-yard strike to Trent Pedersen for a TD.
Pedersen made four catches for 34 yards, while Kaleb Olson snagged three catches for 37 yards and Jacob Braddock made two catches for 31 yards.
Cody Runksmeier anchored the Warrior ground game with 13 carries for 65 yards, while Runge accumulated 50 yards on 22 carries.
Jonas Hoffman drilled a 28-yard field goal for the Warriors in the second quarter.
Eythan Blair and Jacob Govern led the North Union defense with 10 tackles each, while Jeff Brickner and Olson each had eight tackles in the game.
Blake Cole recovered a pair of fumbles on the defensive side for the Warriors.

Madelia 40, Fulda 6 - The Blackhawks cruised by the Raiders 40-6 during Southern Confederacy League football action on Friday in Fulda.
Sophomore quarterback Kyle Schultz threw three TD strikes to Riley Benzel for 44, 24 and 76 yards to help lead Madelia in the win.
Landon Martinez ran in the other Blackhawk scores on runs of 14 and 21 yards.
Jack Bergeman made 10 tackles in the game, while Jack Kortuem made eight tackles, including a pair of quarterback sacks for the Blackhawks defense.
Madelia (5-2) hosts Randolph in conference game at 7 p.m. on Wednesday in Madelia.
