FAIRMONT - Memorial services for Bunny Anderson, 88, of Fairmont, Minn., will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 8, 2013, at Lakeview Funeral Home, Fairmont. Burial will be held 3:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 8, 2013, in Fairview Cemetery, Mound, Minn.
Bunny passed away Tuesday morning, Aug. 6, 2013, at Lakeview Methodist Health Care Center in Fairmont. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2013, at Lakeview Funeral Home, Fairmont, and will continue one hour prior to time of services Thursday.
Lakeview Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Fairmont is assisting the family with arrangements.
Alta Irene "Bunny" Anderson was born Nov. 30, 1924, in Gustavus, Ohio, the daughter of Rawsell Herbert and Elizabeth (Palencher) Lipps. She attended school in Andover, Ohio. On Oct. 11, 1946, Bunny was united in marriage to Clarence William Anderson in St. Paul, Minn. Together, the couple made their home in Minneapolis, Minn., Navarre, Minn., Ceylon, Minn., and finally, Fairmont, Minn. To this union, two daughters were born, Peggy and Darlene. Bunny worked for many years as a waitress and hostess for the LaFayette County Club on Lake Minnetonka and retired in 1984. Bunny had a wonderful sense of humor and enjoyed making people smile. In her spare time, she enjoyed her family, friends and gardening.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Peggy (Alvin) Hovick of Fairmont, Minn., and Darlene Farley of Faribault, Minn.; grandchildren, Tom (Rose) Hovick of Ceylon, Minn., Joy Hovick and special friend, Allen Dykema of Mankato, Minn., Gary Farley of Faribault, Minn., and Holly Farley of Eagan, Minn.; great-grandchildren, Jordan (Cassondra) Hovick of Fairmont, Minn., and Zachary Hovick of Ceylon, Minn.; great great-grandchild, Sophie Hovick of Fairmont, Minn.; a brother, Francis Lee Lipps of Wagoner, Okla.; a sister, Virginia Hoffman of Nevada; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Bunny was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Anderson in 1979; parents, Rawsell and Elizabeth Lipps; brother, Jesse James Lipps; and a son-in-law, Richard Farley.
