LUVERNE, Iowa - The North Union Warriors baseball team scored at least one run in each inning by the sixth as they routed the Corwith-Wesley-Luverne Panthers 13-2 in a six inning victory on Monday in Luverne, Iowa.
Spencer Ricke went 3-for-3 from the plate, including a double with three runs scored and three RBIs to pace the Warriors' winning efforts.
Colin Runksmeier added a 3-for-4 batting night with three runs scored and a trio of RBIs, while Sawyer Doocy added a double on a 2-for-4 batting night with two runs scored and a single RBI.
Alex Deitering and Jake Adams each hit a double for North Union, going 2-for-3 in the game. Cody Runksmeier took advantage of his lone hit in the win, smacking a double and scoring a run.
Brandon Kollasch pitched five innings, allowing two runs - none earned - on four hits, striking out four and walking four to earn the win.
Randy Cram pitched for the Panthers, allowing 13 runs on 15 hits to take the loss.
North Union (18-8) travels to Pocahantas for a 7:30 p.m. game today.
