CEDAR CITY, Utah - Rose Ann Bailey passed away at the age of 98 on April 25, 2013, in Cedar City, Utah, at the home of her daughter.
She was born in Saskatchewan, Canada, on Dec. 28, 1914, to Lou and Mary Hall.
Rose was a special person and known for her spunk and wit. She grew up in Duluth, Minn., and loved her family memories from that area. Rose married Elmer Bailey on Oct. 9, 1940. They lived in the Duluth area for the first few years. Later, they moved to Iowa to farm. Rose spent many years as a busy farmer's wife, cooking for lots of men without the advantages of running water. In 1972, Rose and Elmer retired from farming and moved to Winnebago, Minn.
Rose is survived by her daughter, Patricia (Paul) Hansen; and son, Bruce Bailey. She has four grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Rose is preceded in death by her spouse, Elmer Bailey; parents, Lou and Mary Hall; and sister, Fan Hall.
Rose will return to Becker, Minn., to be with Elmer in the Becker Cemetery. The exact date has not yet been set.
The family wishes to thank the hospice program that made it possible for her to remain at home. They gave such loving care to Rose and the family.
