FAIRMONT - Slithering snakes, playful puppies and Buggly Bears are just a few of the delights in store for families participating in the Family Fun Fair, to be held Friday at Fairmont Elementary.
The 28th annual conglomeration of local activities and organizations features about 50 booths and will be held 4:30-8 p.m.
Returning are favorites Mr. Jim, Remarkable Reptiles and Readers Theatre.
Mr. Jim will present musical performances for children at 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. in the cafeteria.
Volunteers with the local RSVP Readers' Theatre will present "Buggly Bears Hiccup Cure" at 5:15 p.m., 5:30 p.m. and 5:45 p.m. in the activity room.
Remarkable Reptiles features several types of reptiles, including a boa constrictor.
If the weather holds, Fairmont Fire Department's Ladder 8 Truck, law enforcement's water patrol boat and the Martin County Sheriff's Posse will be available for viewing in the east parking lot.
Fairmont High School cheerleaders will provide the food service fundraiser with pizza and beverages.
