Annabel was born July 12, 1909, in Buffalo Center, Iowa, the daughter of Thomas and Florence (Adams) Bosma. She was raised and educated in Buffalo Center, Iowa, where she was a 1926 graduate of Buffalo Center High School. She earned her teaching certificate and taught at the Oswald School near Elmore before her marriage to Norman Oswald on Aug. 27, 1930, at Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. The couple farmed at Pilot Grove, Dell and later at Frost for many years until retiring to Frost in 1966. She grew many excellent vegetable and flower gardens and later enjoyed wintering with Norman in Mesa, Ariz.
