WELCOME - Celebration of life services for June M. Sandberg, 95, of Welcome, Minn., will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 15, 2012, at St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Welcome, Minn., with Rev. Susan Lester officiating. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery in Fairmont, Minn.
June was called to her eternal rest on Tuesday morning, Dec. 11, 2012, at Mayo Clinic Health System in Fairmont, Minn. Visitation will be 9-11 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Welcome.

June Margaret Voyles, the daughter of Herbert and Mabel (Hansgaard) Voyles, was born on June 21, 1917, in Martin County, Minn. She received her education in District #21 in Martin County. June was employed as a waitress at a local caf and then was employed at Dirks Grocery Store in Welcome and Stokley Van Camp Canning Company in Fairmont. On Sept. 22, 1934, she was united in marriage to Guy Sandberg in Fairmont, Minn. After their marriage, they lived in Welcome. Guy died on April 18, 1995. She continued living in Welcome until becoming a resident of Goldfinch Estates in Fairmont. She was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Welcome and was involved with the Welcome Historical Society and the Welcome Museum. June greatly enjoyed doing crafts, sewing, going shopping and being with family and friends.
She is survived by her children, Jim (Kathy) Sandberg of Palisade, Minn., Darlene (Curtis) Warwick of Red Wing, Minn., and Kevin Sandberg of Welcome, Minn.; daughter-in-law, Gloria Sandberg of Welcome, Minn.; 16 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Mae Klug and Alice Minick, both of Fairmont, Doris Gruver of Missoula, Mont., Laverna Shaffer of Edwardsville, Ill.; several nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
June is preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Mabel; her husband, Guy Sandberg; sons, Ronald and Darell Sandberg; brother, Glen Voyles and infant brother, Duane; infant sister, Fern; and other relatives.
The family suggests memorial contributions be sent to St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Welcome; Cancer or Heart Fund; or United Hands Hospice, Blue Earth.
