FAIRMONT - Funeral Service for Charlotte M. Cobb, 81, of Fairmont, Minn., will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Fairmont, with interment in Lakeside Cemetery in Fairmont. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 30, at Lakeview Funeral Home in Fairmont, and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.

Charlotte passed away on Thursday morning, Nov. 22, 2012, at Trimont Health Care Center in Trimont, Minn.

Charlotte Maxine (Estenson) Cobb was born on Aug. 17, 1931, in Windom, Minn. She was the eldest of five children born to Knute and Hannah (Westlund). She grew up in Windom and graduated from Windom High School in 1949.

Charlotte worked at a local caf until May 9, 1952, when she was united in marriage to Harold L. Cobb of Manyard, Minn. They were married in Windom and made their home there until moving to Mountain Lake, Minn. They later moved to Winnebago, Minn., where they lived until moving to Fairmont, Minn., in 1966. Charlotte worked as a nurse aid at the Baptist Home in Winnebago, and then for 34 years at Lakeview Methodist Health Care Center in Fairmont. Charlotte and Harold shared more than 31 years together before Harold passed away on Sept. 16, 1983.

Charlotte enjoyed baking, cooking and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Fairmont. Charlotte passed away on Thursday morning, Nov. 22, 2012, at Trimont Health Care Center at the age of 81 years, 3 months and 6 days.

Left to cherish her memory are one daughter, Rosemary Lewis of Fairmont; one son, David Cobb of Fairmont; two grandchildren, Cory Lewis and his wife, Nichole, of Granada, Minn., and Crystal Lewis of Fairmont; five great grandchildren, Marissa, Autumn, and Sierra Lewis, Seth Baxter and Jackson Beighley; two sisters, Eleanor Guettler and her husband, Gerald, of Bushnell, Fla., and Kathy Gunderson and her husband, Alvin, of Warba, Minn.; one brother, Tilden Estenson and his wife, Carol, of Grand Junction, Colo.; four sisters-in-law, Izetta Hunter of Rhode Island, Lorna Cobb of Manyard, Minn., Adela Cobb of Manyard, and Joyce Kissler of Tacoma, Wash.; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Along with her parents, Knute and Hannah Estenson, Charlotte was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Cobb; son-in-law, Cecil Lewis; one brother in infancy, her mother-in-law and father-in-law; three brothers-in-law; and one sister-in-law.
