To the Editor:
Do you want to live in a ghost town?
That may be the case if the school referendum does not pass.
People will choose not to stay in Fairmont or want to come to Fairmont if we do not have sports and co-curricular activities. Not every student is a math or English scholar. Some students need the sports and co-curricular activities to keep them motivated to stay in school. Sports and co-curricular activities teach students team work, social abilities and build their character. Families may open enroll their children to neighboring schools or chose not to move here is the referendum fails. What a sad day for Fairmont that will be.
Please consider this when you vote.
