FAIRMONT - Laura Backer and Joe Heiderscheidt, both of St. Louis Park, announce their engagement and upcoming marriage.
Parents of the couple are Nancy Backer of Fairmont, Tom Backer of New Ulm, Debbie Heiderscheidt of Sleepy Eye and the late Laverne "Trixie" Heiderscheidt.
Laura graduated from Fairmont High School in 2005 and the University of St. Thomas in 2009. She is a merchandise specialist for Target Corporation, Minneapolis.
