WINNEBAGO - The angels came Oct. 0, 2012, early morning at the Mapleton Community Home to take Duane F. Marsh, age 71, of Winnebago, to his heavenly home.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, 2012, at First United Methodist Church in Winnebago, with Rev. Durene Cornell officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Winnebago, Minn. Visitation time will be 5-8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 12, 2012, at Spencer Owen Funeral Home, 345 Sixth Ave. SE in Winnebago, and one hour before the service at the church.

He was born June 16, 1941, in Winnebago, Minn., the son of Clyde and Rena (Hynes) Marsh. He grew up and then graduated from Winnebago High School in 1960, and from Mankato Vocational in sales and agriculture in 1968. He worked for WFS for 40 years and retired in 2001.
He is survived by his wife, Ellen of 46 years; daughter, Jolene Lewis and fianc Dennis Baxter of Winnebago; his daughter, Jerrie (Dale) Sorgatz of Delavan; sister, Ellen Mae Wier of Colorado; sister, Ramona Swan of Mapleton; sister, Barbara (Alvin) Floden of Waldorf, Minn.; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Jennie Marsh; parents; brothers, Dale and Dennis Marsh; and brother-in-law Bud Swan.
