FAIRMONT - Funeral service for Nonie A. Kouba, 93, of Fairmont, Minn., will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 1, at Lakeview Funeral Home in Fairmont. Burial will be approximately 1:45 p.m. Monday at Bohemian National Cemetery near Silver Lake, Minn.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. until the time of the service Monday at Lakeview Funeral Home in Fairmont.

Nonie passed away Wednesday evening, Sept. 26, 2012, at Lakeview Methodist Healthcare Center in Fairmont.

Nonie Ann Krueger was born May 6, 1919, in Cedar Mills Township, Meeker County, Minn., the daughter of Otto and Pauline (Bartelt) Krueger. She attended Cedar Mills District 45 country school. She was baptized on June 15, 1919, confirmed on May 14, 1933, and married to William Kouba on June 11, 1941, all at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Acoma Township, McLeod County, Minn. Nonie and Bill lived in McLeod County until 1949, at which time they moved to Hutchinson. Nonie worked at the Burns Manor Nursing Home from 1966 until 1971 as a Nurse's Aid. She was active in the Peace Lutheran Church in Hutchinson where she taught Sunday School, sang in the choir and was a member of the Dorcus Club and Ladies Aid. In the fall of 1971, they moved to Fairmont where they were active members of Immanuel Lutheran Church. Bill passed away on Oct. 28, 1992.

She is survived by two daughters, Sandra Sheppard and her husband, Ross, of Fairmont, Minn., Sherry Rathmanner and her husband, Terry, of Burnsville, Minn.; four granddaughters and their families; nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, Bill, Nonie was preceded in death by three sisters: Stella Luthens, Elda Wegner and Vera Krueger.
