WASECA - The Class 1A, No. 3-ranked Waseca Bluejays girls tennis team delivered a 6-1 South Central Conference loss to the Blue Earth Area Bucs on Tuesday in Waseca.
Waseca's Abby Collins dealt Karleigh Wolff a 6-4, 7-6 (7-2) loss at the No. 1 singles position, while the Bluejays' Alicia Knoll cruised to a 6-1, 6-1 second singles victory over Lindsey Prokop.
Maddie Muotka shut out Annika Wilhelmi at third singles, winning 6-0, 6-0.
Kaitlyn Olsen managed the only Bucs' victory at fourth singles, downing Anna Hoehn in straight sets, 6-4, 6-1.
Abbe Hoehn and Shanly Nelson teamed up for the first doubles victory over Karli Olsen and Natali Fellows, winning 7-5, 6-1.
Bailey Krueger and Olivia McIntosh took the third doubles win, 6-2, 6-3, over Aeli Olson and Paige Darrington.
Waseca's Katie Tlusty and Maddy Knoll completed the doubles sweep with a 6-0, 6-0 shutout of Beka Krussow and Kali Viland at third doubles.
Blue Earth Area (10-4, 3-2 SCC) hosts River Valley in a nonconference match at 4:30 p.m. Thursday at Schroeder Courts in Blue Earth.
