To the Editor:
My name is Wayne Hasek and I have decided to run as a write-in candidate for Ward 4 City Council in Fairmont.
My wife and I have been residents of Fairmont for 19 years. We have two children at the University of St. Thomas, and a son who is a senior in high school. Since our children are getting older, I?have the additional time it would take to stand for Ward 4 as your councilman.
In the past, I?have represented several southern Minnesota cities with insurance claims. I am still in the insurance claims business, but now work with northern Iowa communities. I feel that my work experiences have given me a well-rounded knowledge of city business that would greatly benefit the city of Fairmont.
I will not be listed on the ballot but would appreciate your write-in vote on Nov. 6.
