William "Bill" Jay Cobb was born Feb. 4, 1961, in Fairmont, Minn., the son of Willis "Bill" and Judy (Mackey) Cobb. As a young boy, the family moved to Prior Lake, Minn., where he attended school and graduated from Prior Lake High School in 1979. While in school, Bill found a passion for music and, following his graduation, he began working on the stage crew of the band, "Livingston Fury." For many years, he traveled all over with the band working many different gigs in the Midwest and Southern United States. After returning to Minnesota, Bill began working for Shapco Printing, where he was the shipping manager for many years.

On June 1, 2004, Bill was united in marriage to Maxine Wagner in Las Vegas, Nev. Bill was very passionate about life and lived it to the fullest. He loved the outdoors and jumped at the chance to spend a sunny day golfing. He enjoyed all sports and looked forward to nights spent with friends. Music had a special place in Bill's heart and he cherished the many memories made throughout the years and treasured the opportunity to reconnect with members of his high school singing group. Bill enjoyed his pets and will be missed by his two cats. His zest for life and his infectious sense of humor will be greatly missed by those who loved him and called him friend.

In 2008, Bill moved to Fairmont to be closer to family.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Maxine Wagner of Minneapolis, Minn.; two sisters, Lori (Jim) Marushin of Fairmont, Minn., and Joey (Doug) Beech of Ankeny, Iowa; four nieces and nephews, James Marushin, Morgan Marushin, Gail Beech, and David Beech; two sisters-in-law, many aunts, uncles, cousins, one great-aunt, Marion Noble, as well as a host of friends.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Willis and Judy Cobb; maternal grandparents; and paternal grandparents.
