BANCROFT, Iowa - Zack Hurlburt pitched a no-hit shutout to guide the North Union Warriors to a 15-0, four-inning victory over Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven-Ayrshire during Corn Belt Conference baseball action Monday night in Bancroft, Iowa.
Hurlburt faced only two batters over the minimum - 14 - in four innings of work to earn the complete-game victory. Hurlburt recorded four strikeouts and issued one base-on-balls.
Leadoff batter Brett Deitering collected two of the Warriors' five hits in the game. Deitering went 2-for-3 with two RBIs and scored a pair of runs.
Sawyer Doocy went 1-for-3 with a double and two RBIs for North Union.
Brett Thackery and Garrett Johnson each went 1-for-2 with one RBI for the home team.
The Warriors also drew nine bases-on-balls and capitalized on seven errors by Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven-Ayrshire on the game.
North Union travels to Spencer, Iowa, on Thursday for a nonconference contest.
