Margaret Irene (Sundberg) Sagissor was born Oct. 11, 1932, in Ceylon, Minn., the daughter of Carl and Elsie (Palmer) Sundberg. She graduated from Fairmont High School in 1950. She later graduated from nurse's training at St. Marys in Rochester, Minn., in 1953. Margaret married Frederick Sagissor on Dec. 19, 1954. She worked as a registered nurse in hospitals in Rochester, Minn., Fairmont, Minn., Poplar, Mont., and 21 years at Lakeview Methodist Health Care Center.

Margaret was a member of the Fairmont United Methodist Church in Fairmont. She did volunteer work for RSVP and the Salvation Army. In her spare time, Margaret enjoyed painting, playing Scrabble, fishing, working crosswords and writing poetry until her eyesight failed her. She had a tremendous love for animals both large and small and was an avid bird watcher.

When her eyesight failed, Margaret moved to California with her daughter Linda. When her overall health began to decline, she wanted to return to the Midwest. Linda and Margaret moved to Sioux Falls, S.D., until Margaret needed full-time care. She resided first in St. James, Minn., at the Good Samaritan Pleasant View and finally Bethany Lutheran Home in Sioux Falls, S.D. Margaret and her family appreciate the loving kindness and care from the many nurses and staff that she came to call "friend." Margaret lived a full life and was blessed as was her family who received her unconditional love. She will be greatly missed by those that returned that love and called her friend.
