To the Editor:
Just over two and a half months ago, I had a freak accident and lost my left leg and complete use of my right leg. I had five operations in Rochester and was close to losing my life. I had a long stay in Rochester in the trauma unit. I have lost so much. I will walk again. But it's gonna be a long time.
There is so much I won't be able to do because of my right leg. I had to give up my dog and was under the impression - with the help of a very good Humane Society in Fairmont - that they would work with me. Unfortunately, my dog Arthur was adolpted out to a family, who are very good people, I have been told.
Arthur is a black-and-white part terrier and some schnauzer. My heart is broken in the worst way. In my entire life, I have never loved something so much in my life, and with him I know I will improve, so I want him back. But things don't look so good on that subject.
I beg and plead for the family that has him to call me at (507) 848-3199. If I can't have him back, can I please tell him goodbye. Arthur was all I had. And I want to make it clear there is a very good Humane Society here in Fairmont. Just a misunderstanding.
A dog is the only thing on earth that loves you more than he loves himself. I adore Arthur so much. Please send Arthur home.
