Marlin L. Wegener

FENTON, Iowa - Services for Marlin L. Wegener, 79, of Fenton will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. John's Lutheran Church, Fenton. Burial will be in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, Fenton, with military graveside rites by Fenton American Legion.

Wegener died Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2010, at his home in rural Fenton. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Friday at St. John's Lutheran Church, Fenton. Henry-Olson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Marlin Lee Wegener was born July 1, 1930, in Algona, son of Clarence and Orma (Yager) Wegener. He served in the U.S. Army 1952-54 during the Korean Conflict.

Survivors include: wife, Gladys of Fenton; sons, David Wegener of Ringsted, Brian Wegener of Fort Dodge and Todd Wegener of Fenton; daughters, Debra Ulfers of West Bend and Brenda Davis of Algona; 12 grandchildren; three great-grandsons; sister, Lorraine Voigt of Fenton.
