Cleo McCreary
WINNEBAGO - Cleo McCreary, age 81, of Winnebago, died Thursday, Dec. 17, 2009, at the United Hospital District in Blue Earth. Memorial services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 21, 2009, at Lutheran Church of Our Savior in Winnebago, with Rev. Ronald Jobe officiating.
Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Winnebago. Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. Sunday Dec. 20, 2009, at Spencer-Owen Funeral Home in Winnebago, and continuing one hour prior to services at the church on Monday.

Cleo was born July 27, 1928, in Delavan Township, the son of Garth and Edna (Parcel) McCreary. He graduated from Delavan High School in 1947. He later served two years in the Korean Conflict. Cleo was united in marriage to Patricia J. Jensen on Aug. 12, 1952. Cleo worked many years as a self-employed trucker. He operated a fertilizer plant for Central Exchange, American Cynamid and Cargill Inc. Cleo also farmed for many years. He was a member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church.
Cleo is survived by his wife, Patti McCreary of Winnebago; twin sons, Garry (Cheryl) McCreary of Plymouth and Larry (Jan) McCreary of Faribault; daughters, Paula (John) Lubitz of Colorado Springs Colo., and Pamela (Gary) Young of Eden Prairie. He is also survived by seven grandsons and three granddaughters.
Cleo was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers; and one sister.
