Douglas D. Schock
FAIRMONT - Funeral services for Douglas D. Schock, 50, of Fairmont, Minn., will be Monday, Nov. 16, at 11 a.m. at Lake-view Funeral Home in Fairmont. Burial will be held at a later date. Visitation will be 3-6 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 15, at Lakeview Funeral Home in Fairmont, and will continue one hour prior to the time of service on Monday.
Doug passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2009, at the St. Marys Hospital in Rochester, Minn., due to a massive stroke.
Douglas Duane Schock was born March 27, 1959, to Duane and Verlaine (Seim) Schock in Winnebago. He grew up in the Granada area and graduated from Granada Huntley High School in 1977. Doug worked for Winnebago Mfg., Carlisle Plastics, various farmers, and was presently employed with Kerry Industries in Blue Earth until the time of his illness. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing golf.
Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Duane and Verlaine Schock of Granada; brother, Greg Schock and his wife, Lori, of Granada; nephew, Garrett Schock of Granada; niece, Megan Schock of Granada; special friend, Debra Aust of Fairmont; as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Doug was preceded in death by his grandparents, Fred and Myrtle Schock and Clarence and Bessie Seim; and one sister, Debra Schock.
