Marcella Traver
TRUMAN - Funeral services for Marcella Traver, 93, Truman, Minn., will be held Monday, Nov. 2, 2009, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Truman. Interment will be at Ridgelawn Memorial Park, Truman.
Mrs. Traver died Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2009, at Fairmont Medical Center. Visitation will be held Sunday, Nov. 1, from 2-4 p.m. at Zaharia Family Funeral & Cremation Service of Truman.
Marcella Schultz was born Feb. 20, 1916, in New Ger-many, Minn., to William and Mary Elizabeth (Kuenzel) Schultz. She attended school in New Germany and Graduated from Teacher's Normal School in St. Cloud. Marcella taught country school in Watonwan County. On June 11, 1940, Marcella was united in marriage to Marvin Traver at Lester Prairie, Minn. She taught for twenty years at St. Paul's Lutheran Parochial School in Truman. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Truman.
Marcella is survived by two daughters, Carol Greeley and her husband Doyle of Loveland, Colo., Pat Appeldoorn and her husband Ron of Verndale, Wash.; one son, Richard Traver of Owatonna, Minn.; special "daughter"/family friend, Carole Schultze and her husband Warren of Northrop; 17 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; 23 great, great grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Louise Traver of the Twin Cities, Minn., Leona Schultz of Glencoe, Minn.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and three brothers.
Memorial contributions may be given to Martin Luther High School in Northrop.
