Raymond R. Dunker

MOUNTAIN LAKE - A Celebration of Life Service for Raymond Richard Dunker, 89, of Mountain Lake, Minn., will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 30, 2009, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Kimball Township, Jackson County, rural Alpha, Minn., with Rev. Rick Bremseth officiating. Burial will be in the church Cemetery in rural Alpha, Minn.

Raymond died on Sunday afternoon Oct. 25, 2009, at the Windom Area Hospital in Windom, Minn. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. today at Kramer Family Funeral Home in Trimont and one hour prior to the services at the church on Friday.

Raymond Richard Dunker was born Aug. 25, 1920, to Richard and Lillie (Arndt) Dunker in Jackson County, Minn. Raymond received his schooling in rural country school in Jackson County. On June 30, 1940, Raymond was united in marriage to Marie Harries at Harmony, Minn. After their marriage, they lived in Enterprise Township until 1941, when they moved to their farm in Kimball Township. In 2005, Raymond moved into Laker Apartments in Mountain Lake, Minn. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Kimball Township. Raymond greatly enjoyed spending time with his family. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking and gardening.

Those who shared in Raymond's life: His six children, Gary Dunker and his wife, Florence, of rural Mountain Lake, Minn., Gayle Dunker and Barbara, of Aiken, S.C., Gayleen Woizeschke and her husband, Ed, of Windom, Minn., Myrna Braun and her husband, Lynn, of North Mankato, Minn., Kent Dunker and his wife, Linda, of Mountain Lake, Minn. and Donald Dunker and his wife, Chrystal, of Mountain Lake, Minn.; 14 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Chester Harries of Mountain Lake, Minn.; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Raymond was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Marie Dunker (Feb. 5, 2005); two daughters, LaRaye and Lora Lee Dunker; daughter-in-law, Sandra Dunker; son-in-law, Jerry Gieser; brother Otto Dunker; brothers-in-law; sisters-in-law; and other relatives and friends.
