Beverly Mohwinkel

TRUMAN - Funeral services for Beverly "Bev" Mohwinkel, 65, Truman, Minn., will be held on Monday, Oct. 26, 2009, at 10:30 a.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church-Antrim with Rev. Matthew Rusert officiating. Interment will take place in the church cemetery.

Bev died on Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2009, at her home in Truman. Visitation will be held on Sunday, Oct. 25, 2009, from 2-4 p.m. at Zaharia Family Funeral & Cremation Service of Truman and one hour before the services in the church.

Beverly Kay Richter was born on Aug. 14, 1944, in Madelia, Minn., to Gerhard and Stella (Scott) Richter. She attended school in Lewisville, Truman and Waseca. On May 10, 1964, Bev was united in marriage to Roscoe Mohwinkel at Zion Lutheran Church in Lewisville. They made their home in Garden City, Minn., until 1977 when they moved to the family farm in rural Truman. Bev cleaned many homes in the area until her diagnosis of ovarian cancer in 2006. She continued a courageous battle with cancer until her death. Bev was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church-Antrim. She was very involved with the Healing Hearts support group in Fairmont. Bev enjoyed watching the Twins, biking, and traveling. She loved spending time with her family and friends and attending the sporting events of her grandchildren.

Bev is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Regina Caswell and husband Mark of Ann Arbor, Mich., Tami Lieffring and husband Jim of Truman; grandchildren, Elizabeth, Jacqueline, Rebecca and Luke Caswell and Garrett and Chelsey Lieffring; her mother, Stella Richter of Truman; one sister, Sharon Felstead and her husband Jim of Owatonna; special friend, Dick Domeier, Truman; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roscoe; and her father, Gerhard.

Memorial contributions may be given to Cancer Treatment Centers of America, Zion, Ill., St. John's Lutheran Church-Antrim or to the Truman Fire and Rescue.
