AMBOY - Services for Alvin M. Boeck, 88, of North Mankato, formerly of Amboy, will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Amboy. Burial will be in St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery, Amboy.

Boeck died Thursday, Oct. 8, 2009, at North Point Assisted Living, North Mankato. Visitation will begin 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church. Spencer-Owen Funeral Home, Winnebago, is in charge of arrangements.

Alvin Martin Boeck was born Dec. 8, 1920, in rural Amboy, son of Henry and Johanna (Wollchlager) Boeck. He served in the U.S. Navy Sea Bees and was sent to Pearl Harbor for 14 months.

Survivors include: wife, Genevieve of North Mankato; daughters, Jane Schreader of Mankato, Delores Boeck of Lawrence, Kan., and Deborah Young of North Mankato; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brother, Gerhard Boeck of Winnebago.
