JACKSON - ROGER BULTMAN, 65, of Jackson, passed away at his home on Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2009. Funeral services will be held Monday, Oct. 5, 2009, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, beginning at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Bill Odermann officiating. Burial will take place at Immanuel Cemetery near Fulda, Minnesota
A visitation will be held on Sunday, Oct. 4, 2009, from 3-5 p.m. at Osterberg Funeral Home in Jackson, and on Monday one hour prior to the services at the church.
ROGER LYLE BULTMAN was born on Aug. 11, 1944, in Worthington, Minn., the son of Fred and Esther (Beckman) Bultman. He graduated from Fulda High School in 1962. He then attended Worthington Junior College from 1964-1965 and later graduated from the University of Minnesota in 1968 with a degree in animal husbandry. He was united in marriage to Joan Fries in July of 1966, in Fulda, Minn. They later divorced. They had lived in Isanti, Minn., from 1966 to 1968, and then moved to Westbrook until 1987. He then was united in marriage to Lois Meier Stork in December of 1987. After marriage, they lived in Sartell, Minn., until 1991, when they moved to Jackson. He had worked as a hog buyer for Wilson and Company, as a Herdsman, and had been an associate Extension Agent for Cottonwood County. He was owner and operator of Westbrook Dairy and Livestock and had worked for Engineering Design, Southern Plains Agri-Systems, Midwest Livestock and Cuddy Farms, presently Ag-Forte. In 1996, they established RLB Kennels for the development of German Wirehair Pointers for the show ring, hunting and breeding. Roger passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2009, at his home at the age of 65 years, 1 month and 19 days.
Roger was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Jackson. While living in Westbrook, he was a member of the Jaycees, Volunteer Fire Department, and the Ambulance Association, the City Council and the Commercial Club. He had also been a member of the National Association of County Extension Agents, the Minnesota Hampshire Sheep Association and the Minnesota Turkey Grower's Association, where he had been awarded the Allied Lifetime Achievement Award. He was a member of the German Wirehair Pointer Club of Minnesota and the German Wirehair Pointer club of America and the Twin Cities German Wirehair Pointer Club. He had also been a member of Jackson Hospital Board and a member/sponsor of Ducks Unlimited.
Roger is survived by his wife of 21 years, Lois Bultman of Jackson; a daughter, Angie (Jed) Klein of Huron, South Dakota; two sons, Todd (Deborah) Stork of Centerville, Ohio, and Greg (Stephanie) Stork of Mesa, Ariz.; four grandchildren, MacKenzie, Madison and Marcus Klein and Riley Stork; a brother, Doug (Loni) Bultman of Spicer, Minn.; a sister, Julie (Al) Schafer of Rochester; a brother-in-law, Dean Greenfield of Hills, Minn.; and his in-laws, Wayne and Audrey Meier.
Roger was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Dianne Greenfield; and a nephew, Brent Bultman.
