FAIRMONT - Chris Leiferman and Suzie Olsen claimed the top male and female honors during Sunday's third annual Fairmont Triathlon at Gomsrud Park.

Truman's Leiferman was the top overall finisher on the Olympic Course, finishing in 2 hours, 8 minutes and 51 seconds.

Blue Earth's Olsen placed ninth overall on the Olympic Course and was the top finishing female in 2:38:02.

There were 23 finishers on the Olympic Course.

Brookings, South Dakota's Caleb Vukovich was the winner on the Sprint Course, finishing in 1:03:12, while Mankato's Lynette Bacon was the top female finisher in 1:11:25. Bacon placed 13th overall of the 101 finishers.

The distance for the Olympic Course triathlon was a 1.5K swim followed by a 40K bike ride and a 10K run. The Sprint Course combined a one-quarter mile swim with a 20K bike ride and a 5K run.
