Lula B. Jensen
RINGSTED, Iowa - Services for Lula B. Jensen, 80, of Ringsted will be 2 p.m. Friday, June 5, 2009, at United Lutheran Church, Ringsted, with Pastor Lauri Boysen and Pastor John Petersen officiating. Burial will be in Swea Township Cemetery, Swea City.
Visi-tation will be 5-7 p.m. Thursday at United Lutheran Church, Ringsted. Henry-Olson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Lula Bessie May Jensen, daughter of Alfred and Elizabeth Nettleton, was born May 14, 1929, in Gruver, Iowa. She entered into God's eternal care on May 31, 2009, at Immanuel St. Joseph Hospital in Mankato, Minn., at the age of 80.
Lu was united in marriage to Otto Jensen on September 26, 1948.
Left to cherish Lu's memory are her husband, Otto of Ringsted; their seven children, Nancy Gardner of Blair, Neb.; Kenneth Jensen, wife Ginger of Ringsted, Iowa; Dennis Jensen of Sioux City, Iowa; Patcy Kreeger, husband Dale of Abilene, Texas; Jerry Jensen, wife June of Dalzell, South Carolina; Lonny Jensen of Ringsted, Iowa; and Rick Jensen, wife Laurie of Grand Prairie, Texas; 12 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Lu was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers Raymond and Shirley; five sisters, Ruthe Carlson, Emma Dolf, Phebe Dolf, Bertha Andersen and Viola Crowley; and one great grandchild, Riley Dalhberg.
