JACKSON — Services for Rodney Muir, 79, of Jackson will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, Jackson. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Jackson, with military honors.
Muir died Sunday, March 23, 2008, at Sunset Hospice Cottage, Worthington. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. today at Osterberg Funeral Home, Jackson, and one hour prior to services at the church.
Rodney Graham Muir was born Oct. 22, 1928, in Jackson, son of Kenneth V. and Helen R. (Loomis) Muir. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps 1946-47 and was called back to active duty in November 1950. He served in Korea with the 1st Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division.
Survivors include: wife, Frances; daughters, Colleen Trende of Watertown and Rhonda Matz of Arlington; son, Lachlan Muir of Jackson; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Valerie White.
