I think that the prices are again out of line. You can go to Sherburn and see the movie 2 tickets small popcorn & 2 bottles of pop for $8. This theater will again price themselves right out of business. I understand that they need to make money but this is ridiculous. I can't afford their prices, hello Sherburn.

Can we be a little optimistic? 8$ really isn't that bad and having multiple choices is nice. Sherburn sometimes doesn't get the new movie right away and even though its not far you still have to travel to get there if you live in Fairmont. So typical the first response is someone complaining.

Drive to Sherburn and back - $7 2 tickets: $6 Consessions: $7 usually, depending on what the kid wants Total: $20

If Fairmont is at least comparable, I could support it... otherwise, I'll continue to support the non-profit theater.

ddaughertyjr, of course people are going to complain about it, first they whine about not having anything to do in Fairmont, then when we actually get our source of new entertainment, its complaining and complaining. personally I will pay what they are asking because I have gone to other Theatres in other areas similar to Fairmont and they charge 10 to 12 for a ticket. these prices are reasonable, and I will happily pay them if im able to save money on gas to go see the newest movies. so*****it up Fairmont, we got our Theatre, stop whining and enjoy it.

Sadly I don't for see this venue lasting in Fairmont. 8 dollar tickets will never work. The previous owner had cheap good prices and good selections of movies. Only issue was the city didn't help him. I hope things go well but if it's 8 dollars I will go to Sherburn.

These comments are typical. The people of Fairmont complain about everything. People always complain about having nothing to, and even with the theater back, people still complain about it. There are theaters out there with much worse prices than $8. I wish people would be more grateful for what we have.
