$1.18 per acre of farm land??

Shut the thing down. Until they can pay off the operating debt that's been saddling the basic school operations for the last 30 years, there is no need to add over a million dollars more.

They could raze it for a fraction of the upgrade costs.

Yes, certainly razing the school would be a wonderful solution....oh, but then everyone could pay for the taxes/levies that either Granada or Fairmont school districts pay, plus you have a town with no school. I'm quite certain no one in the Truman school district wants to pay those taxes or to experience the ramifications of a community with no school. Voters in Truman school district should vote YES on November 5!
