Sounds like a pipe dream to me. Obviously Phelan doesn't fully understand the social climate or economy of the Fairmont area. This idea is DOA.

If the project can stand on its own, with maybe an initial tax break, I'm all for it. If it's like the city pool and losing money, then no. Question for "kurtfriese" - is it working and not requiring taxpayer money? Is it privately run?

They are going to have a hard time visiting the NewBo City Market in Cedar Falls when the market is actually about 40 miles south in Cedar Rapids. I should know, I helped create it.
