After considerable reading about Ms. Jolie and her **operation**, I wonder if she would have her colon removed early, if there "was a chance" of cancer? Rather than being helpful, my opinion is that she is doing something that "feels good" or progressive, rather than what is practical for the rest of the population.

Unless you have gone THROUGH breast cancer or had a loved one go through it, you will never know how it feels. If I had a high percent chance of having colon cancer, and if they had a preventative measure for that, then yes, I would also do that. If your mom had breast cancer, and your grandma had breast cancer and your chances at getting cancer were as high as Ms. Jolie's, why NOT be preventative before you have to go through chemo and radiation and losing your hair and getting sick, and everything else that goes with treatments? Don't tell us what "feels good" until you've been in our shoes...
