Fairmont does not need 3 grocery stores. Or as many banks and convenience stores that it has. I do think the "open market" idea though is a good draw for tourists. More so of a draw than a new softball complex. i would rather spend my money at an "open market" then at a giant corporate slave master like Wallyworld.

"we are living in the twilight of liberty"

Agreed. If over-regulation from the government doesn't starve us then the Progressives will. Progressives do not want to build anyone up, rather, their solution is to lower everyone to the same level.

All one has to do is look at cities and states run by Democrats. Detroit and Washington, DC are a good example...

Fairmont can barely keep three grocery stores operating, and someone thinks an "open market" will be successful?

i think it sounds like a great idea and opportunity for everyone here in this town. i would definitely shop at a place like that. but i wonder how long the interest would last?

Sounds like something that would last about a year.

I would love it. I probably wouldn't visit it outdoors in the winter much though.

Maybe someone can open a booth for paranoids who think we are living in the twilight of liberty. What hogwash.
