People can be all the "gay" they want to be.

However, "marriage" is between a man and a woman. Two boys bumping in bed is not a "marriage".

The whole issue may open the proverbial moral can of worms. But to me personally, i could care less who anyone wants to marry as long as it's not "victimizing" anyone. Besides...why the heck would anyone fight so hard to get "married"...don't they realize what they're in for?

Who cares about the taxes and health benefits. Married people can get those benefits, but single people don't. Even if we allow gay marriage, there is still inequity for the single people.

Whether state or local governments can afford to pay these benefits is irrelevant, unless we're talking about eliminating benefits for all spouses and dependents and covering employees only. This is another reason we need single payer healthcare, like every other country in the world has (the same or better care for a fraction of the cost.)

Though I'm no gay rights activist, I voted No last year, and I am ok with it being legalized for the simple fact that it is NONE OF OUR BUSINESS. Republicans like to talk about reigning in "BIG government".. I agree, its too powerful, so lets start by not allowing the government to tell us how to make PERSONAL decisions. They preach the evils of big gov. But want the gov to control marriage, abortion, etc etc. the government is the LAST place I want our moral compass to come from.. Do your jobs, protect us, serve us, and stay out of my personal life, I'm not gay, I'm against abortion, but those are MY values and decisions, my neighbor should be free to have his own
