WHAT? There must be a hundred, in not a thousand, FREE methods of encrypting emails. And yet these clowns chose ZIX? At ~$2400/YR? And ZIX is about as bottom of the barrel as you can get. Easily crackable (if you know how). Easily intercepted. Social engineering 101 folks... How much you want to bet that half the passwords in use by the employees are written on pieces of paper under the desk and/or are things like "P***w0rd1". How much you wanna bet they're still using WEP for wireless encryption? 5 minutes of "war driving" will tell...

I partially agree w/ you, Jeremy. Agencies and businesses buy commercial software for "support". No one in business wants to spend hours trying to "fix" a software issue. Try as I might, I have told many folks to use OpenOffice for word processing and spreadsheets, instead of MicroSoft WhatEver. OpenOffice is "free", as in free beer. But most folks willingly **donate** to the MicroSoft Windows...

@blue5011 - Can't argue with you there. At the same time, the majority of "support" for almost anything software or even hardware related can be provided by most 12 y/o kids these days. We need a big ol' paradigm shift in this arena. e.g. Instead of paying a company $100+/Hour to fix the simplest of things, we slip a $20 to the next high school kid that can do the job.
