We need a new water plant, because when it's done, I'm holding a big party. There will be thousands of people who show up to come take away all your guns. I'm sure that will make all of us rabid liberals very thirsty indeed.

I bet you complainers all have cell phone bills over $150/mo, cable TV, internet, for another $150, but don't raise my UTILITY bill! Keep complaining - go ahead and "disagree" - Make my day "complainers"!

My utility bill was almost pushing 300 last month, this feels worse then being robbed at gun point.

What gets me the most is the fact that they said they would not increase rates with building the new treatment plant. The new plant is not even open and they are raising rates already. The increase will effect the local business the most. How much water do you think El Agave uses in a day? Or better yet the school district. I am fine with an increase on residential but a 12 % raise to a business is most likely $200.00 extra per month.

Let see if I got this right - People are going to complain that they have to pay more for running water and sewage removal. Try this - use the same toilet for the whole day - let it accumulate - then flush once. That will take care of your of your 10% increase. Give me a break complainers!

That makes a lot of sense. Round and round we go. Hoping for some future rate study or claiming other cities rates will eventually increase up to ours. Be forced to use less water but pay more for it, don't touch the reserve money... for not being able to use the hose, we sure are gettin hosed...
