| | It's hot out.July 19, 2012 - Kylie SaariI was thinking about how hot is has been lately and listening to the discussion nationally about the drought and its implications and feel I may have come up with a solution to the problem. July should be banned. In my reflection on the weather I was able to determine that there really is no redeeming feature in July. It is just hot. And ugly when you factor in all the dying plants. Now, for those of you who I know will argue that the 4th of July is actually redeeming, I would argue that it is close enough to June to just push it back to June 30. I mean, Jesus probably wasn't born in December, but it doesn't stop us from celebrating Christmas then right? I was able to vet my idea with a few others and was countered with the idea of banning August, but I believe garden produce in the form of fresh tomatoes and squash make it a viable and valuable month.
