Sneak Peek

I got a quick, off-the-record tour of the new elementary school today and things are really exciting there. All the new equipment is being put together and the hallways are packed with it, but they are on schedule to be done when school begins.

It was fun to drive around the building and see the new playgrounds going in the ground, the parking lots being paved, and all the brick and windows in the addition.

I will be writing a story on it in about two weeks — maybe closer to Labor day. Bus routes have changed and so has the parent drop of routine.

But I couldn't wait to tell you.

Also, I heard things are a go for a new section of kindergarten — enrollment is up more than expected. I will get a story out to you about that too as soon as I get the official numbers.
