PINK keeps it real

Normally, I don't do the celebrity-worship, tabloid thing. But one of the artists I've always admired is Pink. As a budding star, the Powers That Be attemtped to get her to go in the footsteps of the likes of Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, and other bubblegum starlets out at that time. But she rocked out instead, rebelling against the stereotype pushed on her and became a standout artist by being true to herself.

And now as a new mother she continues to be real, and in this instance to most every woman whose given birth. Five days later, she still has the pregnant pouch... and is out in public! When we're so used to seeing "Mama and baby" celebrity spreads with the new moms already sporting killer abs and cellulite-free thighs just weeks after giving birth, it's refreshing to see Pink willing to be real... still. Granted, I'm sure she'll be back in her regular rockin' form when her next tour/album comes around, but it's nice to remember that some of our idols are still human, after all.
