Remember when?

Ever take a peek at the window of Edward Jones Investments on Downtown Plaza? They post a sign taking a look back at various years. The current one is 1963. Do you remember 1963?

Most would know that John F. Kennedy was President, but did you know that the Dow Average was 763; the top songs were “Blue Velvet” and “Sugar Shack”; the hot toys were Easy Bake Oven and Mousetrap — remember those?

How about bread for 21 cents? Gas for 30 cents a gallon? And cars that cost $2,300?

Boy, I’d like prices to go back to those.
