That call isn't private
June 17, 2011 - Jodelle Greiner
Today, I was going into the Five Lakes shopping center from the doors next to the post office and there was a woman outside, talking on her cell phone. This dame was dropping f-bombs every two or three words — I am not exaggerating — and throwing in the s-word for good measure.
Now, I’m a big girl and I’ve heard those words before, but I don’t necessarily like hearing them used as a noun, verb, adverb, adjective and prepositional phrase in one sentence after another. And what if some parent was entering or leaving that door with their kids? Is that language that they should be hearing?
Remember, when you are on a cell phone in a public place, your call is not private. Monitor your language appropriately or wait to have those conversations until you are in the privacy of your own home where no one else has to hear you.
