Really? You brought your baby?

So I'm at the Shrek movie the other night and there are two families in the theater. Both have decided to bring babies along. Guess what happens as the movie progresses, the volume rises and the ogres roar?

You got it! Screaming babies.

What in the world is wrong with some people? Did they miss the page in the parents' instruction manual where it says you don't take babies to movies? I can't guarantee it, but it seems to me that I didn't set foot in a movie theater until I was 5 or so. My parents had the common sense to keep me out until then.

Perhaps a unique younger child can be good, sit still and watch a movie for an hour and a half. But babies!? Egads.

You know, they have these things called grandparents and baby-sitters. Those of you too ignorant or self-involved to understand that screaming children represent a great nuisance to others should look into it. Before your theater-mates become ogres.
